Ride to the End of the World

Ride to the End of the World

  • 17 days/16 nights/15 days bike hire
  • 2,200 miles
  • Experience Patagonia on a choice of BMW GS bikes
  • Visit the southernmost city in the world

Now, this is a real adventure rider's dream! If you are looking for a trip which will test your abilities and take you to the stunning regions of South America that tourists rarely get to experience, then read on. Patagonia is a remote, but incredibly beautiful part of the world, spanning Chile and Argentina. It offers an amazing combination of dirt and tarmac riding against a backdrop of turquoise lakes, jagged granite mountains and blue glaciers.

Riders with some off-road experience under their belts will absolutely love this tour's route which includes around 600 miles of gravel and low-grade roads. The BMW GS you'll be riding will eat these trails and tracks for breakfast! Ride to the End of the World is probably our most challenging trip, which means it'll make for the very best bar room tales and stories back home.

We'll be riding off the beaten track through some incredibly beautiful places, as we make for to the most southern city on the planet: Ushuaia. Highlights include the run down to the Magellan Straits in the shadow of rusting shipwrecks and the lava-formed Tierra del Fuego National Park (which rather appropriately means ‘land of fire’).

This is a once-in-a-biking lifetime adventure which will include everything from challenging yet rewarding gravel road riding through to long, sweeping tarmac highways which are a joy to experience. But it's not just about the riding – it's about eating fresh cooked food by an open fire, enjoying the finest South-American steak and red wine, treks across ancient ice fields, plunging into the Beagle Channel. We'll also enjoy several overnight stays in beautiful authentic local hotels, lodges and estancias.

We reach the end of our trip south at Ushuaia, described as ‘Fin Del Mundo’, "the end of the world" and it's where the road stops and there's nothing beyond except Antarctica. From here, we return north and take a shorter route back to the end of this incredible South American adventure to Punta Arenas.
